Spectacular Swiss summers
Summer activities
Snow-capped peaks, glassy lakes, beautiful scenery
Although we are located amongst mountain ranges that are often associated with winter sports, we also offer a wide array of spectacular summer-related activities. In the warm and calm summer months, our guests can spend time hiking in the mountains, exploring Alpine meadows, and enjoying family picnics against a beautiful backdrop of turquoise lakes and snow-capped peaks.
If you want to do any kind of watersport during the summer, then we recommend that you head for the nearby lakes where you can enjoy sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, standup paddleboarding or kayaking. For panoramic views and to experience the beauty and purity of nature, take the adjoining cable car to Murtel or Piz Corvatsch. Both are scenic starting points for hiking the Alps.
Hiking
“The best view comes after the hardest climb.”
The footpath network of the Engadin is said to extend for 580 kilometers. No one knows the precise figure, but one thing is for sure: every kilometer is a unique experience of nature. Immerse yourself in the inspiring beauty of our landscapes while keeping a sharp eye for details. The paths are scattered with treasures, and with a little luck you can spot marmots, ibex or even an eagle.
Lace up your walking boots and you are ready for adventure! However you like to hike – with friends, with family, or solo with nothing but your thoughts for company – you will find trails to suit. Expect breathtaking views, a wealth of fauna and flora and an enchanting experience of the culture and landscapes of the Engadin: welcome to your spiritual home!
On the Engadin Tour Portal you can find many hiking-, running,- and bike tours.
